C is for.....

C is for CALEB!!!

My sister Katie, who I introduced all you blog readers to a few weeks ago welcomed her baby boy into the world early this morning!!

Caleb Josiah was born just before 5:30am Phoenix time and is healthy and, in Katies words "Perfect".

We are so excited for Katie and Matt and for Caleb to be a part of our family! I loved this baby a year ago when Katie and Matt decided to start the adoption proc
ess, and just cannnot express the happiness I felt when I saw his face! I can't wait to meet him, and neither can Miles! He's been saying Cay-bib all day!!

CONGRATULATIONS, Katie & Matt!

One year Dr. Appointment

I am aware Miles turned one 3 months ago.
We are behind on our appointments. Because of work, I am only able to take Miles in on Fridays which make it harder to get appointments around the right time, and to make things better, my terrible memory (really...does it come back? I STILL have pregnancy brain!) helped me to forget his 1 yr appointment last month. :( Boo!
So it was rescheduled for today.

I've mentioned in the past how much I truly love our pediatrician, but let me re-visit that. I LOVE our pediatrician. Because his practice is so small, he know us. He remembers everything, and he cares so much. LOVE him.

Ok. Back to Miles ;)
Miles is doing so well! He is in the 75th percentile for his height, and in the 50th percentile for his weight (tall and skinny...sound like someone you know?!). Dr. Wang is pleased with Miles verbal skills and just loved watching Miles sign various signs. He told me that it is ok that Miles obsesses over pulling the cotton fuzz off of his blanket Grandma Fincke made him and eating it, that his head injuries are not as terrible as I think they are, and explained what we could do to help get Miles's poop to a better...consistency?
Then came the shots. He had four today. I do well with shots. Better than I thought I would with my own son. Having been a nanny for 6 years, I have been to many dr appointments and witnessed (sometimes helping to hold a child) many many shots I knew what I was in for and had mentally prepared myself for Miles's shots. It has worked well so far! What I do not like is
the night after he gets shots. Poor guy has a tough time. Tonight has been no different.

But we are just so pleased with how this whole year has gone, and that Miles is doing so well!

Presents!

So I mentioned in a previous post, that I was making most of my presents this year.

For those that don't know, I have been all kinds of crafty lately. I love
to craft. It is the calm at the end of my hectic days. I have been doing Invitation Design for a bit for family members and close friends and I'm still doing that as small side projects, but T-shirts have become my newest obsession. I've made a few for Miles already and I had made some for a family friend and gotten lots of compliments, so that is what I decided to make all my younger nieces & nephews (NEPHEWS!!! I'll have a second one ANY day now!!) Here are the pictures of the cute shirts!!

Cameron and I had Shelly & Josh for our Stone Family Christmas gift exchange this year, and I knew that on top of a bought present, I wanted to make them a family tree. Everyone loves a personalized present, but I know that Shelly especially appreciates personal things. So. On top of the BSU Snuggies we sent them, (and I want pics, SHELLY!) I sent Cameron's parents home with this:

I love it so much, and I am currently working on one for my older sister that I'll finish once Baby C arrives and I know his name. :)

Merry Christmas!!!

I have been a mac user as long as I can remember.
4 years ago, my macbook crapped out, and I was left using a pc.
Tragedy
I've begged, pleaded, sweetly asked my husband if he would think about letting a mac into our home. He always says no.
Until last Saturday.

Christmas Morning
I got an imac!!!!

Except now I have to re-learn it all over. I'm ok with that, though.......
